Jessie Sanders is a Senior majoring in Sociology and minoring in Psychology and Political Science. Jessie was an intern for the HTS project in the fall of 2024.
Why did you want to intern with the TRC?
I wanted to intern with the TRC because I saw it as a great way to build my data analysis skills and develop a deeper understanding of issues plaguing this country.
How has working at the TRC prepared you for your career and what have you learned?
Working in the TRC has expanded my knowledge of analytic research and has made me more interested in not just fieldwork but research as well.
What are your postgrad plans?
Graduate school at University of Arkansas with a major in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology.
What advice do you have for future interns?
Time management will be your best friend. Be able to find a good schedule for coding, school, work, and a social life because the memories are what college is all about.
What is a fun fact about yourself?
I have a twin sister!
