Ramsey Kamman is a Senior majoring in Psychology, Sociology, and Criminology. Ramsey was an intern for the BHDB project in the spring of 2025.

Why did you want to intern with the TRC?

I wanted to intern with the Terrorism Research Center to learn more about terrorism, gain real-world experience, and see how this work connects to my goal of working for a three-letter organization.

How has working at the TRC prepared you for your career and what have you learned?

Working at the TRC has helped prepare me for my career by giving me experience with real-world research, analysis, and teamwork in the field of terrorism. I learned how to gather and interpret data, as well as see how research supports law enforcement and intelligence work. It’s also helped you build skills like critical thinking, attention to detail, and communication, which are key for a future career in the FBI or CIA.

What are your postgrad plans?

I’ll be staying at UARK for grad school in the Fall, and getting my Master’s in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology!

What advice do you have for future interns?

My advice to future interns would be to not be afraid to ask questions and speak up. Making sure your work is as accurate as possible is key, and asking questions to make sure everything is clear is so important; it also opens the door to making connections with your team, I’ve made such good friends through the TRC this year!

What is a fun fact about yourself?

I’m graduating a year early & I run a banner painting business with my best friend/roommate!
