Why did you want to intern with the TRC?
After hearing about the TRC internship I thought it sounded very interesting! I have taken criminology classes and really enjoyed it; I feel like the kind of work we do at the TRC would really benefit me for when I work full time in cybersecurity!
What has been your favorite experience interning with the TRC?
I have really enjoyed everything I have gotten to do! I thought it was fun getting to search for new cases at the beginning of the semester and having a competition to see who could find the most. I thought that was a super interesting and exciting way to start off the semester. Getting to search and see what I could find was one of my favorite things we have done. Another one of my favorite things is just being able to learn how to code all of the different cases, and getting a better understanding of how you are supposed to code them.
What has been your favorite class at the university?
My favorite class I have ever taken at the University was BLAW 2013 The Legal Environment of Business!
What are your postgraduate plans?
I plan to apply to jobs pertaining to cybersecurity post-graduation. I really hope to excel in a full-time career in cybersecurity.
Any advice you would like to share with prospective TRC interns?
Something I would tell prospective interns is that this is a really good experience, I’m so glad I was able to do it! And to not be afraid to ask any questions while interning because everyone is super understanding and always willing to help!
