Terrorism Research Center Graduates

The TRC has many people walk in and out of its doors and many continue on in their lives and careers to make a positive impact in a variety of fields including academia, legal, law enforcement, and other practitioners.

Recent Graduates: Master’s Degrees

Brynn Schuetter

Brynn graduates with her MA in Sociology (Criminology Concentration) in May 2024. Prior to this, she earned her BA in Psychology, Sociology, and Criminology in 2022 at the University of Arkansas. She has served as TRC Project Manager for the American Terrorism Study (ATS) housed in the Terrorism Research Center (TRC) for the last two years. During this time, she also co-authored two book chapters titled Murder as Violent Extremism (Routledge, 2024) and Bias Violence (Edward Elgar, 2024). Following her graduation she will be pursuing her doctoral degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of South Carolina starting this fall.

Shreeya Gandhi

Sheeya graduates with her MA in Sociology (Criminology Concentration) in May 2024 from the University of Arkansas where she also earned her BA in Criminology with a minor in Political Science. She has served as the TRC Project Manager for the Bias Homicide Database (BHDB) for the past two years. This past fall she presented at ASC – Gandhi, S., Gruenewald, J. (2023) “Preliminary findings on threats to masculinity and cultural contexts of incel killings and honor killings”. After her graduation she plans to continue working with data that furthers the acknowledgement of vulnerable populations as a crime data analyst and aspires to one day work as an intelligence analyst with the FBI.

Chloe Junkerman

Chloe graduates with her MA in Sociology (Criminology Concentration) in May 2024. She previously earned her BA degree in Criminology and Sociology. She has served as the TRC Project Manager for the Human Trafficking Study for the past two years. This past fall she presented at ASC with her work titled, “Human Trafficking in the News”. After graduation she plans to work in crime analysis.

Recent Graduates: Bachelor’s Degrees

Ethan Mitchell

Ethan majored in Criminology and Sociology and minored in Legal Studies. Ethan was an intern at the TRC in Fall 2022, and his future plans are to begin the Sociology Master’s Program with a Criminology concentration at UofA. 

CJ Freeman

Cj majored in African American Studies, Criminology, French, History and Sociology. CJ was a TRC Intern in Fall 2023, and a Human Trafficking Study Research Assistant in Spring 2024. He has been accepted as a graduate student in Sociology at UofA and will continue his work with the TRC.

Nicole Rogers

Nicole majored in Data Science with a concentration in Social Data Analytics and Cybersecurity. Nicole was a CASDAL Intern in Fall 2022, an Undergraduate Research Assistant in Fall 2023, and a Data Science Project Manager in Spring 2024. She will be moving to DC to begin her career.

Alma “Ali” Harrison

Ali majored in Criminology and Sociology with minors in both Communication and Legal Studies. Ali was a TRC Intern in Spring 2022 and an Extremist Crime Database Research Assistant in Spring 2024. She plans to begin the UofA Sociology Master’s Program with a concentration in Criminology.

Sophia “Sophie” Glick

Sophie majored in Criminology and Sociology with a minor in Legal Studies. Sophie was a TRC intern in Spring 2023, a CASDAL intern in Fall 2023, and a Bias Homicide Database Research Assistant in Spring 2024. She plans on getting her Master’s Degree in Sociology with a Criminology concentration at UofA.

Savannah Brown

Savannah majored in Criminology and Sociology with minors in History and Legal Studies. She was a TRC Intern in Fall 2022, and her future plans include going to law school!

TRC Alumni

The Terrorism Research Center continues to grow and provides unique opportunities for students and employees. TRC Alumni can be found across the nation in roles such as Assistant Professor and Data Analyst.
