Sophie Carl is a Junior majoring in International and Global Studies with a concentration in Peace, Security, and Human Rights and minoring in French. Carl was an ATS intern in Spring 2024.
Why did you want to intern with the TRC?
The internship was recommended by my program director and I thought it sounded very interesting!
How has working at the TRC prepared you for your career and what have you learned?
I have been challenged to think more analytically at the TRC and getting the experience of reading court documents was very valuable. The TRC has definitely opened my mind to new career paths I can follow and the guest speaker series was excellent.
What advice do you have for future interns?
Don’t be worried to speak up! The TRC staff and other interns are all very friendly and willing to help.
What is a fun fact about yourself?
I have an identical twin!
